About Us

Pamela J. Herring, ND, DHANP

Dr. Herring began her health care career with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education at Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts and as a Peace Corps volunteer in a healthcare project in Paraiba, Brazil. She is married and has three grown children, four step-children and seven grandchildren.

In 1988 Dr. Herring completed her doctorate from Bastyr University in Seattle and then moved to New Hampshire to begin her practice. As president of the New Hampshire Association of Naturopathic Doctors she helped to carry forward the process of attaining licensure for Naturopathic Doctors in New Hampshire. From 1995 to 2000 she served on the New Hampshire Board of Naturopathic Examiners, the Governor’s appointed board for regulation of Naturopathic Doctors.  In 1996, Dr. Herring was presented with the Presidents Award from the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) for her outstanding work in advancing the profession.

Dr. Herring is certified as a Classical Homeopath by two organizations: the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians (DHANP), which credentials Homeopathic medicine within the naturopathic profession, and the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CCH) which is a competency certification that encompasses all types of healthcare providers who practice homeopathy, such as medical doctors, chiropractors, and naturopathic doctors.

Dr. Herring is a frequent speaker at conferences, hospitals, and schools; she has appeared on Concord Hospital Healthline and WMUR, and has been a guest speaker on New Hampshire Public Radio on several occasions.

Kelly Giard, B.SC., Nutritionist and Lifestyle Education Consultant

The Naturopathic Clinic of Concord welcomed Kelly in July 2006. Our clients love her warm smile and gentle demeanor. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and has worked in the field of health and wellness for over 10 years. Ms. Giard received a B.Sc. in Nutrition at Keene State College. She has worked for the state of New Hampshire in the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) Program and the Breast and Cervical Cancer Program. She is also a practitioner of Reiki I and Reiki II.

Assisting Dr. Herring, Ms. Giard provides patient education, nutrition consultations and health assessments and Reiki treatments. She manages and instructs The Cleanse, a therapeutic lifestyle and weight management program, as well as offering individualized nutritional counseling.

Kelly has an interest in "Nia" (a mind, body, spirit movement therapy) and other active pursuits. Kelly also co-chairs the local chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation, Nourishing Lifestyles.

Teresa M. Downey, Office Assistant

The person who will most often greet you on the phone or in person is Teresa. Teresa joined the practice in January of 2007 and very quickly made herself indispensable as our office assistant. She has proven to be a jack-of-all-trades for which we are grateful on a daily basis.

Teresa has a certificate in computer sciences and manages the clinic’s day-to-day operations such as scheduling, patient files, and product sales and ordering. Teresa also has a background in managing a local food co-op and other positions of leadership in non-profit organizations.

In addition to her busy schedule with the practice, Teresa is a home educator for her four children. Teresa is well versed in cooking, gardening, gluten and wheat-free living, and traditional foods. Teresa co-chairs the local chapter of the Weston A. Price Foundation, Nourishing Lifestyles.
