Pharmacology

Naturopathic Doctors do have a formulary in their law that allow them limited ability to prescribe drugs, such as antibiotics. Our doctor understands how the medications function in the body, the risks when using certain medications and which herbs or supplements may interact with certain medications. Each year, Naturopathic Doctors must obtain a certain number of continuing education credits in order to maintain their licenses. Our patients take comfort knowing that they will be provided with the safest, and most effective medication whether it be a supplement, herb or pharmaceutical.

Women's Medicine

At the Naturopathic Clinic of Concord, we specialize in the treatment of women and see women of all ages with gynecological, hormonal, or general health problems. We utilize both- alternative and conventional medicine - with the treatment options being individualized to each patient and each clinical situation. We treat each woman individually by assessing her specific symptoms and identifying the cause and her risk factors. You can expect expertise in treating many women's health conditions with natural treatments and integrative medicine: menopause, Bio-identical hormones, PMS, abnormal PAP smears, menstrual problems, abnormal bleeding, Endometriosis, infertility, infections, PCOS, uterine fibroids, bladder infections, depression, immune dysfunction, headaches/migraines, adjunctive therapy for women’s cancers, Osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia, pelvic pain, and more. We also offer women’s yearly gynecological exams. During this visit women receive their annual PAP smear, breast exam, blood pressure check, and heart, lung and thyroid exam.

Pediatrics

We provide emphasis on living a healthy lifestyle and help to incorporate that with that lifestyle from a child’s birth until adulthood. The doctors at the Naturopathic Clinic of Concord provide wellness exams for infants through 18 years according to the same schedule as a conventional visit. Emphasis on pediatric preventative therapy includes: laboratory, dietary advice, and supplementation. Our doctors provide acute outpatient pediatric care along with cold and flu prevention and treatment.

Often children have health issues that are attributed to chronic conditions such as allergies, asthma, IBS, constipation, headaches, and stomachaches. Naturopathic doctors are equipped to give healthy alternatives to overcome and put a child on the path to cure many of these chronic conditions. We are able to provide alternative treatments for ADHD/ADD, depression, autism, asperger’s, oppositional defiant disorder, anxiety, sensory integration disorder, etc. We have the knowledge and capability to provide vaccinations, alternative vaccination schedules, and provide information so parents can make an informative decision when it comes to their child’s care.
